My Humble Observation - Part 1

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Not denying the fact that a true Muslim's dream is to see Ka'ba. One will leave off his home, children, title, wealth and many more just for a reason :

ALLAH

Many flies thousands of miles and sacrifices made to be able to be here.

Undeniably, it's a noteable effort.

BUT..

Hold that thought and ponder upon these very few selected scenarios which reflect on whether are we truly here for ALLAH when SUBMISSION and HONOUR left by it's name while substance being drifted away.

My heart broke as soon as a loud shouting voices emerged in the Masjid for what seems to cause just for being impatient to share some spaces among them. The noble intention to perform salah jamaah seems to be forgotten. That little space seems to be priority.

Put aside everything else as EVERYTHING belongs to Allah, none that we own. Patience and tolerance will be REWARDED. Will it hurt being tolerant? Or at least, had it not crossed their mind of where they were? Shouldn't we uphold the virtue of a true behaviour of muslims within us regardless of where we are?

It started from THE HEART.

Masjid should be of tranquility and dignity.

Look around and we have us to remind one another.

Our Duty

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

What an adorable pair of hands and feet. That adorable pair belonged to us at one point of time. Now that the pair has grown bigger and make us older and we are waiting for another adorable pair of our next generations to be adorn.

We were once young and we soon be old.

My recent reading of Dr. Muhammad al-'Areefi's book entitled "The End Of The World : Signs Of The Hour, Major And Minor" recorded that among minor signs of the end of the world is disobedience to parents. A young person may enjoy sitting with his friends, feeling more comfortable with them than with his parents, especially if the father or mother is very old, or complains a lot, issues instructions, and is critical of others.

In the name of Allah, be obedient.

Al-An'aam 6:151

"Be good and dutiful to your parents"

May Allah protects us from evil heart and make us and our children a true Muslim at heart. InsyaAllah..

Bake for Your Health

Al-Baqarah (2:172)

“O ye who believe! Eat of the good things wherewith We have provided you, and render thanks to Allah if it is (indeed) He whom ye worship”

Assalamualaikum....

A call to a few articles about dangerous ingredients in the white bread on the market some time ago, here'a a White Bread recipe for you to try. Fairly simple. The taste is much better than the all branded breads on the shelf and IMPORTANTLY it's much healthier...

You may read the Shocking Truth About Bread and Warning on Unsafe Bread - TheStarOnLine to learn more what you are eating.

White Bread

Ingredients:

2 cups of warm water - 1 1/2 cups of hot water + 1/2 cup of cold water
1/2 cup of white sugar
1 1/2 tablespoon of active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
6 cups of bread flour - sifted (or All Purpose Flour)

Directions:

1.In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, and then stir in the yeast. Allow to proof until yeast resembles a creamy foam (about 10 minutes).

2. Mix salt and oil into the yeast.

3. Mix in flour, a cup at a time.

4. Knead dough on lightly floured surface until smooth (alternatively knead in the same bowl)

5. Place in a well oiled bowl and allow to rise until doubled in bulk.

6. Punch dough down, knead for few minutes and divide in half. Shape into loaves and place into two well oiled 9x5 inch loaf pans (about 1 hour or until dough has risen 1 inch above the pan).

6. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes.

InsyaAllah.

Alternatively, you may add raisins, apricots or any sorts about 1/4 cup and just add a couple of tablespoon of water to get a smoother dough. Sugar can be added up to 2/3 cups to convert this White Bread into Sweet Bun.

Knowledge Is Always Good To Be Shared

Assalamualaikum w.b.t

A little different post this time. May this recipe benefits those who are looking for Custard Bread.. Easy to make and greet your morning aroma with this as this does not require a lot of fermenting time. Tried, tested & altered from my kitchen and happy to share.

Bread:

2 1/4 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of yeast
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
2 eggs - 1 for egg wash
some butter
3/4 cup of fresh / low-fat milk

:: Pre-heat oven 160 degrees C. Mix all dry ingredients, make a well and add in egg, butter and milk in the centre. Mix and knead lightly for a few minutes. Let raise for at least one and a half hour in a well greased bowl. Punch down dough on a lightly floured surface. Roll out the dough, cut into a small sized square. Cut each corners almost to the centre and this will form a pyramid-like pieces. Fill the custard in the centre (can even spread the custard on the dough and place a bit more in the centre - choice is yours), cross and bring opposite end of the dough in the centre. As a result, you will have a nice flower-like bread with filling - as shown in picture below.. Let it raise again for at least 15 minutes, covered with tea towel. Brush the surface with egg wash (egg + a bit of water), bake for 20 minutes or until golden. !rush with butter on top of bread.

Custard Filling:

1 tablespoon of corn starch
1/2 cup of fresh milk
Some condensed milk and sugar - according to your preferred sweetness
1 tablespoon of vanilla essence

:: Mix all in a saucepan on low heat, stir until bubbly.

InsyaAllah...

Assalamualaikum...

I am writing this as a reminder to myself and would like to share with those who passes by.

Ya Allah, Ya Rabb
YOU have given us abundance of pleasure
YOU have shown us how to live on this earth full of gratification
And YOU sent down your noble book, Al Quran Al Kareem
to guide mankind so as to be nothing but good mankind
to divulge things mankind don't know
to forbid mankind from misdeeds as fiery hell awaits
to encourage countless philanthropic as Jannah compensated
YOU sent down a noble Messenger
a shining example to follow
on how enlighten life can be

think...

How complicated can life be?
When everythings being calligraphed in the Holy Quran
When every moves, actions, speeches nor judgement
being documented in the Hadith

Arent we being so unfair to ourselves?
Arent we being so ungrateful to Allah Azza Wa Jalla?
Arent we being a dissapointment to Rasullullah S.A.W?

Ask these questions to ourselves
The answer is within us

Surah An-Nisaa (سورة النساء)
Ayat 147-148

"Why should Allah punish you if you are grateful to HIM (for HIS bounty) and truly believe (in HIM)? And (remember that) Allah is All-Appreciative (to those who are grateful to him, All-Knowing (of their conditions). Allah does not like any evil to be mentioned in public speech (aimed at disclosing other's misdeeds), except by him who has been wronged. And (remember that) Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing."
